What are the good and bad fats?
Good: monounsaturated & polyunsaturated fats (avocados, omega 3, olive, canola, sunflower, safflower, flaxseed & vegetable oils) - lower heart disease risk & cholesterol. Bad: saturated fat (butter, coconut & palm oils) - increase risk of heart disease & cholesterol. Really Bad: trans fats (hydrogenated oils) – increases risk of heart disease, cholesterol, stroke, diabetes & some cancers.
